Station Review #15: Roslyn (SEPTA)

Image
Sign Roslyn is a SEPTA train station located in Roslyn, Abington, PA, on the Warminister Line. The station is located along Easton Road, right outside a railroad crossing, and the intersection of Easton road and Susquehanna road.  Tour of a Greenhouse Not dated at all! While going down a hill on Easton Road, you spot this building. Immediately upon looking at it, the look of the building itself intrigues you. Depending on who you are, and your tastes, you think this building is one of two things, beautiful or hideous. It's not in the middle, this building is very divisive.  The station is on the side of a large hill off of Susquehanna road, a road that is fairly scenic due to the sheer amount of hills on it. You can tell this just based on the giant hill behind the station (and the Giant store as well).  The view behind the station Going to the station itself from Easton Road, you see a wooden staircase, like the one somewhere like Phil...

Station Review #4: Fox Chase (SEPTA)

Image
Fox Chase Station's Main Sign Fox Chase is a train station in the Fox Chase neighborhood of Philadelphia. Fox Chase station is the northern terminus station for the Fox Chase Line. Train Stoppers at Fox Chase Station. Fox Chase station is located in a very central spot in the Fox Chase neighborhood. It's between the intersections of Rhawn and Oxford and Rhawn and Verree, though much closer to the former. Because of it's location, Fox Chase station is fairly easy to get to from other parts of the neighborhood.  What's at the Train Station Fox Chase Station's building Fox Chase Station has one platform, and the structure of the station itself is on the northwestern side of said structure. There is a platform (with a ramp at the ends for those who are disabled), benches, a main building, canopy, and signs among other things. Behind the station, there's a parking lot. The benches under the canopy Unsurprisingly, this s...

Station Review #3: Eddington (SEPTA)

Image
One of the smaller signs at the station, as larger signs do not exist there. Eddington station is a regional rail station on SEPTA's Trenton line, located in the small town of Eddington, PA (itself located within the much larger Bensalem Township). Eddington is also one of the worst stations in SEPTA's network, and once you visit, it's not hard to see why I say this.  More about the station A more specific answer to where this station is, is that Eddington station is located on Street Road, at the Street Road exit for I-95. This location is also the start of the station's issues. Map of the location of the station As anyone looking at this blog post can tell, this train station is extremely hard to reach, even worse if you were to walk to it. If you were to start in the rest of Eddington (upper left hand corner), and tried to get to the station, you would need to cross an exit of Street road, go up a staircase that's extremely easy to miss, c...
