Image
Oregon is a station along SEPTA's Broad Street Subway. The station is served by the B1 service.  History Oregon station opened with the extension of the Broad Street Line to Pattison Avenue as an infill station. Station Review #64: Ellsworth-Federal (SEPTA)

Image
Ellsworth-Federal is a station along SEPTA's Broad Street Line, specifically served only by the B1. Ellsworth-Federal is located on Broad Street, between Ellsworth and Federal Streets.  History  Ellsworth Street entrance Ellsworth-Federal station was built in the late 1930s, much like the rest of the South Philadelphia stations of the Broad Street Subway. Those who do know more will realize that the station itself predates the time when Washington Avenue was much more than the right of way for the PRR Washington Avenue branch, which serviced all of the South P...

In order to understand the history of Fern Rock Transportation Center, one must understand the history of both of these places. Tabor Station Platforms Tabor station was a train station along the Reading Railroad's Bethlehem Branch, immediately after the famed Wayne Junction station. It was built sometime in the early 1900s, near the now (mostly) nonexistent Tabor Junction. This was the intersection between the Reading Railroad's Tabor Branch and the North Penn Railroad. This junction is located at the nearby Tabor Road, hence the name of the junction and by extension the station. At some point between 1893 a...
