Rydal is a station on SEPTA's West Trenton line, located at Susquehanna Road and Washington Lane in the small village of Rydal, PA, itself located in Abington Township, PA.  History Rydal station was originally built either in 1883 by the North Pennsylvania Railroad, or in 1888 by the Reading Railroad, though the former is more likely due to the architectural style being more in line with NPRR's depots. At some point around the 2000s, there was a station restoration.  Tour The station nowadays Rydal station hasn't changed all that much in the past few decades.  Doorway Post office sign Much of the depot nowadays is a small post office.  Waiting room Rydal has a waiting room, usually only open on weekdays between 5:30 AM and 12:30 PM. 96th Street is the current terminus station for NYCMTA's 2nd Avenue Subway. This station is mainly served by the Q train, and currently nothing else.  Tour Train Escalator Platforms This station has an island platform, though I'm fairly certain all of the 2nd Avenue subway stations do.  Upper mezzanine I'm not sure why this is needed. When this was finished in 2016, it was hilariously over-budget. This is the definition of hubris, of pointless waste from endless streams of consultants. If the bloat of modern day US transit projects was a place, it'd be here. Newark Transit Hub is an important station serving many DART bus routes in Newark, DE. The station is located between Delaware Avenue and Main Street.  Services These buses go to Newark Transit Hub:  DART 6 - Kirkwood Highway: This bus goes from Wilmington Transit Center to Newark Transit Hub via Kirkwood Highway. This is one of the most used buses in the DART system. The 6 runs every 20 minutes or so for most of the day.  10 - Wilmington-University Plaza-Newark: This bus goes from Wilmington to Newark Train Station via Christiana and many other places. This is by far the slowest of the Newark-Wilmington buses. The 10 runs every 30 minutes to hour or so.  33 - Christiana Mall-Newark: Wilmington Transit Center to Newark Transit Hub via Christiana Mall. This is the fastest of the Wilmington-Newark routes.
