Station Review #3: Eddington (SEPTA)

Image
One of the smaller signs at the station, as larger signs do not exist there. Eddington station is a regional rail station on SEPTA's Trenton line, located in the small town of Eddington, PA (itself located within the much larger Bensalem Township). Eddington is also one of the worst stations in SEPTA's network, and once you visit, it's not hard to see why I say this.  More about the station A more specific answer to where this station is, is that Eddington station is located on Street Road, at the Street Road exit for I-95. This location is also the start of the station's issues. Map of the location of the station As anyone looking at this blog post can tell, this train station is extremely hard to reach, even worse if you were to walk to it. If you were to start in the rest of Eddington (upper left hand corner), and tried to get to the station, you would need to cross an exit of Street road, go up a staircase that's extremely easy to miss, c

Station Review #2: Temple University (SEPTA)

Sign for Temple University Station Temple University Station is a train station in SEPTA's Regional Rail network. Every single SEPTA Regional Rail train line serves this station, and you can tell this from how much larger it is compared to a lot of other train stations in the SEPTA network. This station is directly served by no buses, but is walking distance from the 3, 23, 39, & 47 buses.  Station Tour : The Outside of the Train Station The train station is on a bridge, and the entrance is on Berks Street, which becomes Polett Walk. Walking to the station, there is a fenced off staircase that was once one of the entrances for the station. This is blocked off for a reason, please don't go there.  Walking to the station, you are greeted with the sight shown above. There are turnstiles, common for stations in the Center City Zone.  Closer look at those turnstiles This area looks oddly similar to something youd find on a station

Station Review #1: Forest Hills Station (SEPTA)

Hi, I'll preface this with an apology for not using this blog much, I originally didn't want to use the blog for unrelated reasons and then I promptly forgot it existed, whoopsies! Anyways, onto the actual content The sign at the front Forest Hills is a SEPTA commuter rail station on the West Trenton Line. This station is between Philmont & Somerton Stations, although much closer to Somerton station in distance. Most average people forget about the station's existence, but not transit fans like me. Those who fall into this catagory feel a sense of dislike, if not hatred for this station and it's close proximity to two other stations. After going to this station, it's not exactly hard to see why This station is on Byberry Road, in the Somerton neighborhood of the Far Northeast. Here, there is another station for the West Trenton Line, Somerton Station, which is in walking distance. Another stipulation of the curse of being in Somerton is that it's
